Dan Yan
Ms. Dan Yan is a PhD student at the Adelaide University, specializing in targeting delivery of theranostic nanosystem and scale-up manufacturing industry compliance. Her research background spans pro-drug and indocyanine green (ICG) dye structure modification, targeting drug-delivery, photodynamic therapy, and supramolecular self-assembly. She also brings industry experience gained at Pfizer, where she worked on sterile injection products manufacturing process, including aseptic liquid filling process, lyophilization, packaging/capping, final product release and cold-chain logistics.
Yan’s current research focuses on reprograming activated fibroblasts with fibroblast activation protein-targeted mRNA-Lipid nanoparticles (mRNA-LNPs) for cardiac tissue regeneration and cancer immunotherapy, while also addressing the bottlenecks in scale-up manufacturing of targeted delivery mRNA-LNPs. She brings a multidisciplinary approach to advancing precision mRNA-LNP therapies and recently presented at the 15th International NanoMedicine Conference 2025; the IUPESM World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering 2025 and the 12th WACBE World Congress on Bioengineering (WACBE 2026).
