Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging regulators of brain function, cognition and addiction. Their cell-specific and dynamic expression makes them promising targets for understanding, and potentially treating, neuropsychiatric disorders.
This talk will examine evidence linking lncRNAs to learning, memory and reward-related behaviour. I will discuss how lncRNAs regulate synaptic plasticity, the development of targeted delivery approaches, and the potential for lncRNA-based therapies in addiction and other brain disorders.
